Jennifer Jolly Explains How You Can Travel Like Oprah!

On the O!-mazing New Ship Calling Oprah ‘Godmother’

Let’s be real: we all want to travel like Oprah. We’re talking VIP tours of Italy, private jets with her adorable dogs, and trips with celebrity friends. What’s next? How about cruising with besties on a spectacular new ship – – the one she’s about to become godmother of?

In a dedication ceremony on February 2, 2019, Oprah will christen the newest Holland America Line ship Nieuw Statendam (pron. New State-en-dam) and be named its godmother.  This special honor follows Oprah, Gayle and friends having just sailed on a three-day Girls’ Getaway Cruise.

The maritime tradition of choosing a godmother for a new vessel dates back more than 4,000 years and is supposed to bring good luck and protection to the ship and all on board. Tech-Lifestyle Expert Jennifer Jolly will be at the ceremony and get exclusive access to the entire ship to figure out how all of us can share that good fortune in our sea travels. We’ll finally learn the truth about how the O!-mazing-half lives and what makes this particular ship so extraordinary.

On this interview, Jennifer discusses:

  • Oprah’s dedication ceremony
  • This year’s top travel trends
  • Going behind-the-scenes to check out the cruise industry’s newest ship, the Nieuw Statendam, including:
    • Latest technology making today’s travel less stressful and more relaxing
    • The vessel’s newest, most cutting-edge features
    • The future of cruise travel – the fastest growing segment of the vacation sector
