Nationally Renowned Organization and Doctor Discuss the Newly-Ranked Allergy-Suffering Areas and Tips to Cope This Season

 More than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies each year and while the seasonal allergy symptoms appear not to discriminate by age or gender, where one lives could be a main factor in the volume and strength of suffering. On March 23rd, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) will release its annual Spring Allergy Capitalsreport ranking the 100 most challenging places to live with spring allergies in the U.S.

Here is an inside-look into this year’s chosen areas with leading allergy specialist, Dr. Purvi Parikh and Dr. Cary Sennett at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA). Together they will speak to the newest capitals and tips for coping with spring allergy symptoms in these areas and beyond. 2016’s report provides some interesting results and an interview is sure to be fun and educational for your viewers/listeners.

 About Dr. Cary Sennett:  Dr. Cary Sennett, President and CEO at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, has more than 25 years of experience working with both public and private sector organizations to make the health care system work better for patients. After several years of working in managed care, he played a leadership role as Executive Vice President at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) where he helped to build-out the HEDIS® national standard measurement set used to evaluate the quality of care and service offered by managed care organizations in markets across the country. That work has been the foundation of consumer and patient “report cards” on healthcare quality and innovative programs that reward health plans for delivering higher quality care. In the years since his work at NCQA, Dr. Sennett has worked with physician organizations and, more recently, in the policy world to use incentives to promote higher quality and more patient centered care.
