Caesars Palace Celebrates 50 Years in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Caesars Palace topped off its 50th anniversary celebration Aug. 5-6 with events befitting the iconic resort property. Award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay kicked off the weekend as host of a party at the Garden of The Gods pool oasis, with a Grand Gala event for invited VIP guests on Saturday. Tony Bennett, who was the second performer to ever appear at the Circus Maximus Showroom in 1966 and in 1969 was the first and only entertainer ever offered a lifetime contract to perform at Caesars Palace, headlined the evening. The gala also featured appearances by current Caesars Entertainment headliners including; Wayne Newton, Donny and Marie Osmond, Matt Goss and The Righteous Brothers. Honorees for the evening included Gordon Ramsay, the Jay Sarno Family, the Knievel Family, Larry Ruvo and more.
